Driveco, the French leader in electric charging, is strengthening its European ambition by opening three new subsidiaries in Belgium, Spain, and Italy. To steer this strategic expansion, the company announces the appointment of country directors for each market, marking a new stage in its international development. Portugal, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg will also be served by Driveco.

Ion Leahu-Aluas, CEO of DRIVECO, states: “Belgium, Spain, and Italy are strategic markets for DRIVECO, where the growing demand for reliable and high-performance charging infrastructure aligns perfectly with our ambition to create a European network of reference. I am delighted with the arrival of Victor de Vilmorin in Belgium, Christian Revilla in Spain, and Armando Fiumara in Italy, each bringing solid expertise in electric mobility and leadership in perfect harmony with DRIVECO’s values. Their alignment with our vision strengthens our position as a leader, focused on unmatched service quality, offering drivers an exceptional user experience and absolute reliability. The signing of our first strategic partnerships in Belgium is tangible proof of our commitment to providing charging solutions that surpass the highest standards of reliability and satisfaction, while consolidating our presence across Europe.”

Driveco, awith its 10,000 charging points, has established itself as one of the largest charging operators in Europe. Thanks to a funding round of €250 million, the company is pursuing its expansion in these new markets, supported by strategic partnerships in Belgium. The operator offers flexible charging solutions with two simple options: either Driveco fully finances and manages the stations, or customers purchase the stations and Driveco handles installation, maintenance, and management. Driveco’s arrival in these three markets is marked by the appointment of country managers and the signing of initial strategic partnerships.

With a turnover of €35 million in 2023, Driveco demonstrates its rapid growth in the electric mobility sector and now operates the largest public electric vehicle charging network in France.
The company’s mission goes beyond developing European charging infrastructure, focusing on participating in the construction of a more environmentally friendly society by making electric mobility accessible to all.

A dedicated European team

With a team of over 150 professionals, Driveco manages the entire value chain — engineering, construction, operation of charging stations, and software development. Renowned companies such as Carrefour, Airbus, and Leroy Merlin have trusted Driveco for nearly ten years. The opening of offices in Brussels, Madrid, and Milan allows the company to meet the specific needs of each market (biographies of Country Directors in the appendix).

Innovative and flexible solutions

In Belgium, Spain, and Italy, Driveco puts its expertise at the service of actors in retail, hospitality, real estate, and logistics, offering integrated charging solutions.

Driveco distinguishes itself as the only player to offer a one-stop-shop for charging services, with stations ranging from 22 kW to 400 kW, suitable for all types of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. This diversity meets the varied needs of users while optimising battery life. The company places user experience at the heart of its offer, guaranteeing a premium service with a high reliability rate that ensures electric vehicle drivers a smooth and worry-free charging experience. The company’s commitment to quality is reflected in infrastructures designed to maximise user satisfaction, combining performance and ease of use.

Moreover, Driveco offers two investment models for infrastructure deployment: in the investor-operator model, Driveco finances, installs, and operates the charging stations; in the service model, customers invest directly while Driveco handles installation, maintenance, and management of the infrastructures.

First partnerships outside France

In Belgium, Driveco already has 70 operational charging points spread across 15 sites. The company is now expanding its presence through new strategic partnerships with several Belgian companies. Among these, SIXT will be equipped with a new charging station, while Ixina will benefit from an ultra-fast station comprising four 200 kW charging points. These collaborations mark Driveco’s commitment to developing its network and services in Europe.
